Hi ya
I had a kidney stone this past weekend while I was in another state visiting my parents and sister’s family. Ended up in the ER and it was the most excruitiating pain of my life! I flew home late Mon night all the while fearful the pain would re-occur while I was on the plane! Thank God it didn’t. I passed one 2mm kidney stone on the weekend, I have 5 more in my right kidney, one larger the rest slightly smaller. I am in the midst of the coke, asparagus remedy, finished the asparagus about 30 mins ago and now drinking water throughout the afternoon. So far first pee hasn’t shown anything but I will keep straining it to check. Will let you know how it goes.
The one thing the pain and experience has done for me is that it was a mini epiphany – I have not been living the life I want to, now assessing all aspects of my life to lead a more fulfilling, happier life – diet, exercise (non-existent), my career choices (been miserable at work) etc etc. It’s been the impetus to change the things I’ve not been happy with. I will never forget that I am blessed with health and how lucky we all are to have – mostly – two healthy kidneys!

It sounds to me like you did pass the stone, but of course the doctor will need to confirm that. The sensation you described is exactly what it’s like for me when I pass a stone. The stone itself is probably the color of the porcelain toilet so you might not have seen it. So glad your pain is gone, its amazing how much those little buggers hurt, but when they are gone the pain is gone too. Keep us posted on your progress.

Can you or anyone tell me what a stone feels like when it actually exits the body? I had cat scan yesterday, have an 8mm kidney stone. My dr said I won’t pass on my own. (or I am guessing that she meant that I am not likely to?) She referred me to a urologist for a monday appt., which I am supposed to have lithotripsy. Today is Sat- no doctors to call. In the middle of the night I woke up to urinate and had a really bad burning feeling(like I’ve never felt) at first and then it felt like something actually popped out of my urethra opening. It was a feeling like I’ve never felt before. It burned then for a few seconds while I was urinating and then didn’t. Could I have passed the stone? I looked in the toilet, even with a flashlight afterwards but couldn’t see anything at all, but thought it could have gone deep to the bottom. My stomach and back pain seems to be gone now. I will call my dr on Monday, but just wondering what it would feel like upon actual exit. Thanks so much.

i went to the doctor today with what I thought was a kidney infection or , God forbid, pancreatitis. He said I have a stone, take this trammadol and call if it gets worse. It is now two in the morning, can’t sleep due to the extreme pain which is getting worse. I am really not doing well at all. I have a high pain threshhold, but this is crazy. I can’t lay down, sit down, sit still or stand upright. I would do anything not to go to the ER, any suggestions? Thank You!

Hi,

I had a 7mm stone and did the coke thing once,went back to the er after another bout of pain and a new CT scan, it was down to 5.9 mm and moved from upper to mid ureter. The pain lessened and now I am just uncomfortable most of the time. I am thinking of doing the coke remedy again, but wonder if maybe the stone may be gone all together? I cannot go back to the er. no insurance and my husband isn’t working and now we have 15k in medical bills. My question is, how can the coke work if it is going into your stomach? It seems as if it would just sit there. Also, has anyone had experience with doxazosin? I was on it for a couple of weeks, and it lowered my blood pressure so much, that I was light headed and stupid the whole time!!

MY HUSBAND HAD STONE, WHICH HE PASSED. HE HAD RADIATION FOR PROSTATE CANCER AND IT HAS LEFT SCAR TISSUE ON THE URETER TUBE. IT IS PRESSING IN ON THE TUBE AND DR PUT IN THIRD STINT TO KEEP TUBE OPEN. HE HAS LIVED A MISERABLE LIFE WITH THESE TUBES. DO ANYONE HAVE AND SUGGESTIONS FOR PAIN OR ANY ALTERNATIVE TO A STINT.

Hey I found out that I had a 3mm stone about 6 days ago, and still yet haven’t passed it. They gave me flomax which I have just been takin it for 2 days and no luck yet. Last thrusaday when I went to the ER they said that it was stuck right before the bladder I dont get to go to the kidney Dr till friday so I have no clue if it has moved or what. I have been drinkin bottles upon bottles of water. My question is I pee a little blood yesterday, and when I pee I have whit glob things could that be my kidney stone. I’m only 21 this is my first stone PLS HELP!!!

Hi Heather

I too have tried this remedy and found it works really well. I passed a 6mm stone that was well rounded and not painful like previous stone passings. I could feel the remedy working wihin a couple of hours. I was annoyed at how many lousy lunatics on the net trying to make money from passing this remedy on to other sufferers when really we should all help one another and I appluad you for being forthright and telling the formual for free, well done. And to all those miserable barstards that want money before health, I hope your stones persist and reocurr.
