I’m so sorry you’re suffering right now. Combine the lemon juice and Coke when you get it so you get the benefit of the phosphoric acid and the citric acid. Let me know how it goes. Be sure to get ALL the asparagus down and follow up with distilled water after wards. Good luck!

Thank you for posting this. I have had kidney stones since I was 14 years old, and have suffered tremendously with each and every one, sometimes for days on end. I am in the process of passing a small stone now and have been in pain for almost 48 straight hours. I just sent my mother to the store for coke and asparagus. I hope this works. So far I have drank almost a case of water, 2 gallons of cranberry juice, and a six pack of Smirnoff ice plus taken 7 lortabs, 3 flomax, and had a couple shots of trammadol at the ER when the pain first started. Nothing seems to be working. I have my fingers crossed for the coke. If it doesn’t I guess I will have to move on to lemon juice and olive oil.

I had my second stone about 2 months ago. Was feeling like crap for about a month. CT showed a stone the size of a grain of rice (dr didn’t give me mm). Friend posted about the coke/asparagus on FB so I decided to try it since it was the weekend and I DID NOT want to go through that kind of pain again and end up in ER. I did the treatment about 9-10pm Friday night. About 11pm I was in enough pain to take one of my prescribed pain killers. I didn’t sleep a lot that night due to having 2 L of Coke coming through me, but the painkiller did it’s job and I didn’t have pain either. By the next day I was pain free and have been for the past 2 months. One coke, some asparagus and one pain killer—hooray!

We communicated almost a year ago. I couldn’t convince my husband to do the coke remedy as he refused to drink coke. He doesn’t drink any soda of any kind and watches what he puts in his body. This past year he was drinking an herbal tea that the alternative doc had him drink to try to dissolve the stones. However, after a year he had another ultrasound as he was having lots of pain. To our discouragement more stones showed up and his other ones weren’t any smaller. He went to a specialist and suggested the blasting which will cost a mere $7K (we have no insurance and this is a special deal!). He has done 3 coke remedies so far several weeks apart. He is relieved of pain for about 3 weeks afterwards so we know it’s doing something. He has been drinking huge amounts of lemonade the past few months. He’s been straining his urine but nothing, except his urine looks like dirt when it settles (he took a specimen) I know sounds gross. Does the coke actually dissolve the stones completely? He has one that is 1.3 cm so I’m sure more treatments are necessary. Could you just share your tho’ts? I told my husband that he can do a lot of coke remedies for $7k!!

I left a comment back in 2008. Just wanted to give a brief progress report: I have been drinking a couple swallows of lemon juice (ReaLemon) daily since 2008 and have had no kidner stones since. I drink it straight out of the bottle just to save time; it’s not that bad once you you get used to it. I also drink enough water to make sure my urine is never yellow. Once a year, I drink about 60 oz od diet decaf coke in about an hour as a preventative measure. Hope this info helps others.

Hi Heather,

I was diagnosed 2 years ago with 13 kidney stones. Five on the right kidney and 8 on the left. Most are between 2 and 6 mm but the one is 10mm and growing, causing quite a bit of pain every day so I’m scheduled to have the Lithotripsy procedure done this Wednesday for the 10 mm stone. I am 4′11″ and weight about 98 lbs. I don’t think I could ever consume that much liquid in my body at one time. I would explode. Do you think for somone smaller I could do half the amount of coke and asparagus?? I am going to try it after I have the procedure. Should I be drinking lemon juice (from fresh squeezed lemons or out of a bottle)?? How much of that a day til Wednesday would you recommend?? I am really nervous about having the procedure done but will try it once and then try the coke and aspargus if it doesn’t work. I’m sure my urologist will think I’m crazy but who care if it really works. I talked to two other people who live near me and they both said it worked for them. Thanks for your help.

I should mention in the past I had passed 2 kidney stones and then 13 the next time- with the coke and asparagus they completely dissolved so I have no idea how may there were- but I can tell you when it hit it was the worse pain by far than the other times. I ran to the kitchen and started immediately. the pain was better after 25 mins! IT WORKS!!!

Hi Heather- yep, I have done it too and the only bad part was the sugar hang over. I am currently trying the diet coke. I’ll let you know how it goes.
