We are in Gulf Shores, Alabama on vacation. I had heard from an Alabama friend, (Shannon Russell) about the beauties of Gulf Shores. She was right. Day one found us on the white sandy beach burring everything in sight. I was surprised the boys were still enough for us to bury them, but Wade (a.k.a. “The Beached Whale) did just fine. Life is good.
It’s hard to go wrong with a beach vacation. Look like fun!

You are right, the beach is a great place to take young children for a cool vacation and Gulf Shores is a very family friendly place. I started coming here when my boys were about 6 and 7. They were perfectly content to play in the sand all day and I could really get some down time just lying around reading magazines …something I never got to do at home. !
